Description
The Trane FUS1637 2-Element Time-Delay Fuse is a dual-element cartridge part with two internally separate protection stages, each responding to a distinct fault condition within the same housing. The time-delay element tolerates brief inrush current spikes that occur at motor startup, while the fast-acting element clears hard short circuits before downstream wiring or components sustain damage. It occupies the power circuit between the disconnect and the load, where both transient and sustained overcurrent events originate in HVAC systems. At 600V and 15A, it covers the voltage range of single and three-phase supply configurations without requiring a separate fuse block rating change.
