The Automation Components Inc (ACI) 144160 20,000 ohm thermistor measures ambient or surface temperature by altering its electrical resistance in direct response to temperature change within the sensing circuit. As temperature shifts, the resistance value changes proportionally, allowing the connected controller to calculate an accurate reading and adjust output accordingly. Wired into duct assemblies, air handling units, and zone controllers, it integrates directly into building automation and HVAC systems through the sensor input terminal of the control board, requiring no additional signal conditioning hardware.
