Description
The Trane BAYCO2K003B CO2 Demand-Controlled Duct Sensor is used to enhance the control of ventilation in HVAC systems. It is a CO2 Duct Sensor that helps in determining the concentration of carbon dioxide in the return air duct. This information is then used to control the amount of fresh air that is introduced into the building while at the same time avoiding waste of energy. In other words, it operates by continuously measuring the levels of CO2 and then instructing the HVAC system to adjust the outside air damper. This sensor is mainly utilized with Trane HVAC equipment, air handling units and rooftop units, to facilitate DCV.
