The Reznor RZ110851 Natural Gas Pilot Burner/Thermocouple Assembly Kit Standing Pilot is a part of the ignition that is used to sustain a pilot flame and ensure that a flame is present for burner operation. It is heated by the flame, creating a signal of security voltage that permits the gas valve to stay open during operation in gas unit heater HVAC systems. The assembly is placed close to the main burner where the pilot tube is attached to the gas supply and the thermocouple lead is attached to the control circuit.
