Description
The Trane VAL08598 4-Ton Thermostatic Expansion Valve regulates the quantity of refrigerant that is permitted to enter the evaporator in response to temperature variations at the outlet. It is used in general in cooling equipment with R410A in which precise flow control is needed across varying load conditions. This is a 5/16 x 1/2 inch line-mounted valve that attaches directly at the inlet to the evaporator, and the sensing bulb is attached to the suction line to measure operating temperature. It controls refrigerant balance and avoids unstable operation inside the entire unit and assists in maintaining efficiency in HVAC systems.
