The Trane FAN05492 Plenum Fan Assembly is a part of air movement within an HVAC system that is used to circulate conditioned air within the indoor part. It fits between the plenum section of compatible air handlers or packaged units, where it draws air across coils and circulates via ductwork. Using a 200-240V power supply the assembly provides a steady airflow needed to achieve heating and cooling operation. The plenum fan is also part of the system and operates under controls and sensors to ensure equal distribution of air, facilitate temperature control and correct interaction between the blower section and the heat exchange elements.
