The Trane PAN01541 Vertical Auxiliary Drain Pan is an condensate management component used to collect and redirect water that forms on or around vertically installed air handling equipment in HVAC systems. It is designed for use in air handler configurations where an additional overflow or auxiliary drainage path is required to prevent moisture from reaching surrounding cabinet or structural areas. It is installed beneath or adjacent to the air handling unit in upflow or vertical orientations, where it captures condensate that bypasses the primary drain pan during cooling operation.
