Description
The Trane SWT02475 High Pressure Switch is a refrigerant safety control used to protect the compressor from excessive discharge pressure. It monitors system pressure in the refrigeration circuit and opens the control circuit at approximately 460 PSI, then resets when pressure drops to around 360 PSI helping prevent damage caused by airflow issues, overcharging, or condenser malfunctions in HVAC systems. Installed in outdoor condensing units of split and packaged systems, it is used during maintenance or replacement to ensure safe compressor operation and reliable performance during cooling cycles.
