Description
The Trane CNT04961 Low Pressure Switch controls refrigerant pressure in air conditioning systems, protecting compressors from damage caused by insufficient refrigerant charge or airflow restrictions. This automatic SECURE control opens electrical circuits at 25 PSI, shutting down equipment when suction pressure drops below safe operating thresholds that indicate potential refrigerant leaks, blocked filters, or frozen evaporator coils of HVAC systems that are visible. The switch automatically resets and closes contacts at 41 PSI once normal conditions resume, allowing system restart without manual intervention. The solid construction adapts to pressure cycling, mechanical vibration, and temperature extremes of heating operations.
