The Trane BFK-084S BI-Flow Liquid Line Drier BFK Emerson removes moisture, acid, and debris from the refrigerant circuit while allowing flow in both directions, making it suited for systems that reverse refrigerant flow during operation. Its internal desiccant core and filter media capture contaminants as refrigerant passes through in either direction. Located on the liquid line in heat pumps and reverse-cycle systems within HVAC systems, it is brazed inline at the designated service point using the appropriately sized fittings. Consistent bi-directional filtration through this dryer protects the expansion valve and compressor from ordinary dirt and moisture-induced acid.
