Description
The Trane VAL21184 Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) is a refrigerant metering part that regulates the flow of condensate into the evaporator to maintain the proper superheat required for efficient cooling. It automatically adjusts refrigerant flow in response to changing load conditions preventing both liquid floodback and evaporator starvation. Mounted between the liquid line and evaporator coil in packaged units and HVAC systems and it support balanced heat transfer, stable cooling performance, improved energy efficiency and dependable compressor protection during continuous operation.
