The Zilmet ZEP1 Thermal Expansion Tank 2-Gallon is a stainless steel pressure-balancing component to absorb excess water expansion created during heating cycles in closed-loop water heating systems. It uses an internal diaphragm to separate air and water chambers, allowing pressure fluctuations to be controlled before they affect connected piping or heat exchanger components. Positioned in tankless hydration heaters, boilers, and hydronic HVAC systems, the tank is installed along the cold water supply line where protection is required.
