Description
The Bard HVAC 5651-208 Expansion Valve regulates refrigerant entering the evaporator according to pressure and temperature conditions within the refrigeration circuit. Its internal metering mechanism adjusts the refrigerant passage so the evaporator receive the required flow as operating conditions change. Positioned between the liquid line and evaporator inlet, the valve forms the transition point between the liquid refrigerant supply and the heat transfer section. In HVAC systems, this arrangement control the amount of refrigerant entering the evaporator during the cooling cycle. The resulting metering action coordinates refrigerant feed with the evaporators heat absorption requirements.
