Description
The Trane SWT03921 Low Pressure Switch Control is meant to safeguard HVAC systems against running at low pressures of refrigerants. This switch is usually fitted in the suction line of a refrigeration system and is provided with a pressure sensitive part to measure the rate of flow of refrigerant. When pressure of refrigerant is below a certain low pressure set value, the switch turns off the circuit to the compressor and other relevant accessories. This is because, if the compressor is exposed to low pressure, for instance, liquid slugging, it stands to suffer severe damage.
