Description
The Trane SWT3542 High-Pressure Switch is used to safeguard chillers and large commercial air conditioners from high refrigerant pressure. This safety part operates on electromechanical circuits with a setting at 650 PSI to break off the electrical supply to the compressor and thus protect system components such as compression, condenser, and pipes. When the pressure gets down to 500 PSI, the switch turns on to allow the system to possibly start up again. This cycle also keeps the system safe from high pressure.
