Description
The Johnson Controls SEC99AB-36C Armored Capillary is a protected sensing line that connects a temperature-sensing bulb to a thermostatic or pressure control, transmitting thermal or pressure changes through a sealed fluid-filled tube enclosed in a flexible metal armor in HVAC systems. It operates by responding to temperature or pressure shifts at the bulb end, causing the internal fill fluid to expand and relay that change through the capillary to actuate the connected control. Used in evaporators, condensing units, and thermostatic expansion valves, it is routed from the detecting evaporator along the refrigerant line and secured with clips to prevent vibration-induced damage on the sheath.
