Description
The Copeland Comfort Control (Alco) 027771 Straight Valve Body seats within the thermostatic expansion valve assembly in air conditioning, heat pump, and refrigeration HVAC systems, with a 3/8-inch ODF sweat inlet and a 5/8-inch ODF sweat outlet brazed directly into the liquid line ahead of the evaporator coil. The stepped connection sizing accommodates the volumetric change as refrigerant crosses the internal orifice, while the straight-through body configuration keeps refrigerant flow linear between inlet and outlet. The take-apart construction allows the power assembly and orifice cage to be unbolted and exchanged without cutting the brazed connections.
