Description
The Automation Components Inc (ACI) 145354 Freezestat is an essential safety system for HVAC systems. The system operates to stop coil freezing during heating and cooling operations. The 6-foot capillary-equipped Freezestat serves as an air temperature monitoring system across the coil. The 2-SPDT circuits initiate an automatic reset which shuts down equipment when temperature reaches the set point to prevent equipment damage. This operates primarily in air handling units and chillers together with other HVAC equipment that contains coils. System operation remains continuous because this system protects coils from freezing-related damage which would otherwise lead to expensive equipment failure.
