The Browning 1VP50X7/8 Cast Iron Variable Pitch Sheave 1-Groove adjusts fan speeds in belt-driven blower and motor assemblies in HVAC systems. Mounted onto a 7/8-inch bore drive shaft using a setscrew locking system, the cast-iron pulley features a threaded flange that alters the effective pitch diameter up to 4.75 inches. Rotating the adjustable flange expands or narrows the drive groove width, changing the belt operating radius to adjust the blower rotation speed. Modulating sheave pitch enables precise airflow balancing across ductwork systems, maintaining required circulating airflow output and static pressure performance.
