The Carrier HD42AQ261 ECM Motor Module serves as an electronically commutated motor which operates within Carrier HVAC systems mainly in furnaces and air handlers. The module operates the blower fan through airflow adjustments for heating and cooling requirements. ECMs run on electronic controls for speed variation which enables precise airflow together with improved energy efficiency. The motor operates through a combination of permanent magnet rotor technology and electronic control systems which control motor speed.
