Description
The Copeland Comfort Control (Alco) 016998 Bi-Flow Solenoid Valve is a refrigerant control instrument that regulates the passage of refrigerant through the system while permitting flow in either direction as required by the operating cycle. Integrated into compatible HVAC systems, the valve is brazed into the refrigerant line using its 1/2-inch ODF connections to become part of the refrigeration circuit. An electrically energized solenoid opens or closes the internal valve mechanism, allowing precise control of refrigerant movement between connected components. Controlled refrigerant routing supports stable system cycling, protects connected components and contributes to consistent operating conditions during reversing applications.
