The Heatcraft Refrigeration 7076957 Start Capacitor 124-156MFD 330V 15K is an electrical component used to assist compressor motor startup in HVAC systems. It temporarily stores and releases electrical energy to provide the initial torque required for the compressor to begin running. Once the motor reaches operating speed the capacitor is taken out of the circuit by the start relay. Mounted in condensing units and heat pump systems, it plays an essential role in ensuring motor starting, performance and reducing stress on compressor windings during startup conditions.
