Description
The Lennox 47L83 is a Door Interlock Switch Kit, a replacement part of saftey for HVAC equipment, normally an air handler or furnace. This small 1/2″, SPST switch is fitted on the door of the unit. When the door is closed, the switch makes a circuit, and the HVAC system runs as it is supposed to. If the door is opened the switch opens the circuit and the unit stops for safety purposes. This crucial design ensures that people do not come across the moving parts or electrical components inside the HVAC unit by mistake.
