Description
The Lennox 76K02 is a dual run capacitor which is essential in Lennox HVAC systems it serves as. It is different from a run capacitor in that it supplies a spike of energy to the compressor motor to start it and then feeds current to it as it runs. This helps to do away with the need for having a start capacitor that is usually required in other designs. The capacitor is of 60 microfarads nominal capacitance with a tolerance of 5 μF and it can withstand voltage up to 370V. This one is suitable for use in both 50 and 60 hertz electrical systems hence the name universal. In essence, a functional Lennox 76K02 optimizes the compressor to start and run, thus helping the total overall efficiency of the HVAC and comfort.
