Description
The Markel Products Co. 41041004X Limit Switch measures internal air temperature within the heating element chamber and interrupts the electrical circuit when temperatures exceed the preset safety threshold, cutting power to the heating element before unsafe conditions the develop. A bimetallic disc element responds to thermal fluctuations by opening the contact at the calibrated trip point, providing automatic protection without requiring a manual reset inside HVAC systems. Seated within the air circulation path of electric unit heaters and baseboard heating systems, it mounts directly onto the heating element housing without requiring additional brackets or wiring alterations. Accurate thermal response prevents element burnout.
