Description
The MARS 11080 Motor Start Capacitor is used to provide an initial electrical improvement to single-phase motor during startup. It stores and releases energy for a short time to help the motor overcome starting resistance, and reach operating speed before disconnecting from the circuit. It is commonly installed in compressors, blower assemblies, and pumping equipment within HVAC systems where a higher starting torque is required for startup. Rated at 378-455 MFD 165V it is typically mounted inside the equipments electrical compartment and works with a start relay, or switch to support controlled motor during the startup cycle.
