Description
The Reznor RZ195292 Flame Sensor detects the presence of an active flame within the burner assembly and sends a continuous electrical signal to the control board to confirm ignition during each heating cycle in HVAC systems. A flame rod element conducts a small microamp current through the ionized gas of the burner flame, allowing the board to verify combustion and keep the gas valve open. Positioned directly within the burner compartment of unit heaters and warm air furnaces, it fastens to the mounting bracket without requiring additional wiring or hardware modifications. Accurate flame detection prevents nuisance lockouts and eliminates unnecessary ignition retries.
