Description
The Rheem-Ruud 425057 Limit Switch A/R monitors temperature thresholds in gas and electric heating systems to prevent overheating conditions. This limit switch automatically interrupts burner operation when internal temperatures reach 140F, then restores power once the system cool to 110F. It acts as safety mechanism that protects equipment from thermal damage through HVAC systems. The bimetallic sensing element respond to temperature change without external power, providing fail-safe protection in abnormal operating condition. This automatic reset feature eliminates manual intervention while safeguarding both the heating unit and surrounding building components from excessive heat exposure.
