Description
The Trane COM08290 Compressor is used to circulate refrigerant in the cooling cycle of air conditioning machinery in HVAC systems. It has a capacity of 9.3 tons and operates on a 208 230 V/3PH electrical supply at 60Hz, where low-pressure refrigerant vapour is drawn into the compressor and then forced to a higher pressure and temperature, and then directed to the condenser to reject heat. It is used in condensing units and packaged equipment to maintain refrigerant circulation in the system needed to transfer heat and maintain a constant cooling flow.
