Description
The Trane HTR15361 40W Crankcase Heater rated for 460V, is used in refrigeration compressors to maintain oil temperature when the system is off. It is installed around or in contact with the compressor case inside air conditioning and heat pump units in HVAC systems. It purpose is to provide a small, continuous amount of heat to the compressor oil, preventing refrigerant from migrating into the crankcase during shutdown periods. This helps me maintain stable lubrication, migrating into conditions when the compressor starts again. As part of the refrigeration system it operates within the compressor assembly.
