Description
The Trane SEN1790 Duct Smoke Detector is an object that is of a photoelectric type and its main function is to identify smoke within the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems. The Alk line follows this approach through the use of a light source and a photodetector. After smoke gets into the sensing chamber it interferes with the light and this is seen by the photodetector. Any variation in the light intensity causes an alarm signal, which wakes up the occupants of the building and prompts them to take necessary precautions. This is mainly applied in commercial and industrial HVAC system applications for instance air handling, fan coil, rooftop, and other types.
