Description
The Trane SHE5413 sheave has a 5.75″ diameter and a 1″ bore. In other words, it’s a grooved wheel that changes the speed and torque output of a belt drive while also redirecting it. Sheaves are extensively used in some HVAC devices including blowers, compressors, and fan systems. It has a 1/4″ by 1/8″ keyway slot. Sheaves have several benefits because of their compact design, they take up less room, they aid in the effective transmission of power, and they allow for modification of speed ratios and direction within a system.
