Description
The Trane SWT01711 Thermal Limit Switch is an automatic reset safety control used in furnace systems to monitor internal air temperature and protect the equipment from overheating. It opens the control circuit when the temperature reaches approximately 200F and recloses once it cools to about 170F helping prevent damage to the heat exchanger and surrounding components. Installed in a gas furnace or air handler assemblies, it regulates safe operating temperature during heating cycles and system airflow conditions. It is commonly used in HVAC systems during maintenance or replacement to ensure reliable thermal protection and stable system operation.
