Description
The Trane SWT3987 M/R Rollout Switch is a safety part used in gas-fired HVAC systems. It is a manual reset, rollout-type switch with a temperature of 180 degree Fahrenheit. This switch’s main purpose is to shut-off the supply of gas in case of flame rollout, a condition where the flame produced by the burner spreads beyond the required region and causes a fire risk. At the temperature of 180 degrees Fahrenheit near the switch, it turns off the gas supply to avoid any harm or fire outbreak. The manual reset means that one will have to physically intervene to restart the furnace while giving a chance to inspect it.
