The Trane VAL07513 2.5-TonThermostatic expansion valve (TXV) is a refrigerant control apparatus that meters R22 flow into the evaporator to maintain proper superheat and stable cooling performance and operates by using a sensing bulb and diaphragm system that reacts to temperature and pressure changes, automatically adjusting refrigerant flow for accurate control. In HVAC systems depend on this regulation to ensure efficient heat exchange and protect the compressor from liquid refrigerant return.
