Description
The Trane VAL08209 Reversing Valve is a control component that can change the direction of refrigerant flow between heating and cooling modes, allowing for mode-change operation in HVAC systems. Constructed of 1/2″ x 1/2″ ODS connections and delivered without a solenoid coil it relies on an internal slide mechanism to change the direction of refrigerant flow when actuated by an external coil. This enables the system to switch between cooling and heating as needed. It is brazed into the refrigerant circuit of heat pump units and is used in combination with a suitable coil when installing the system.
