Description
The Trane VAL09185 Thermostatic Expansion Valve is used to regulate refrigerant flow into the evaporator coil in residential and commercial HVAC systems. Applied in 5-ton cooling equipment, the valve responds to system load changes by controlling the amount of refrigerant entering the evaporator to support proper superheat and cooling performance. Featuring a 3/8-inch ODF inlet and 1/2-inch ODF outlet connection, the assembly integrates with compatible refrigerant piping and evaporator circuits. Positioned within designated liquid line sections, the TXV assists with accurate refrigerant metering, stable temperature control, and efficient operation of connected cooling equipment.
