Description
The Trane VAL11876 Thermal Expansion Valve Assembly (TXV) is a refrigerant control component that is fitted to regulate the amount of refrigerant flowing into the evaporator coil. It operates by sensing the occurrence of superheat at the coil outlet and regulating the valve opening so that the most efficient flow of refrigerant is maintained, and this helps in the preservation of efficient heat absorption. It operates on a thermostat, which responds to variations in temperature and pressure. It is mounted in the liquid refrigerant line near the evaporator and it is linked with system sensing lines.
