Description
The Trane VAL19032 Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) meters refrigerant entering the evaporator as operating conditions change. Its sensing element responds to conditions at evaporator and shifts the valve opening to regulate the refrigerant feed while maintaining the required superheat. Installed near the evaporator inlet, the valve connects with the liquid line, evaporator tubing and related refrigeration components. This metering arrangement controls refrigerant distribution through the cooling circuit in HVAC systems. By regulating the feed into the evaporator, the valve coordinate refrigerant supply with heat absorption and reduces the chance of liquid refrigerant reaching the compressor.
