Description
The Trane VAL19945 3-Ton Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) is a refrigerant expansion part used in HVAC systems for R-410A refrigerant. Serving as an accurate flow control of the refrigerant, the TXV determines the superheat of the refrigerant leaving the evaporator-coil. It controls the valve opening by this superheat to facilitate adequate refrigerant-flow for cooling. It has a 3-ton capacity and 3/8” x 1/2” connection sizes making it suitable for medium residential and light commercial HVAC systems. This precise control leads to several advantages such as increased efficiency of the system, steady cooling capacity and even energy saving.
