Description
The Trane VAL9629 is a 2 way, normally closed solenoid valve used in various different HVAC equipment. This is a valve that, within its NC state, does not allow passage of fluid through it and is only opened by an electrical signal. As a result this type of valve is to be used for safety or isolation applications in an HVAC system. For example, it can be used to balance water flow through a chilled water coil blocking the flow until the cooling system is running. The Trane VAL9629 is a pilot-operated solenoid valve. This means that it incorporates a small solenoid pilot valve to actuate a large main valve.
