Description
The York S1-6043480 Air Supply Temperature Sensor monitors discharge airflow in heating, ventilation, and cooling systems, converting thermal measurements into electrical signals for control modules. It utilizes thermistor, RTD or semiconductor to detect temperature variations within supply ducts, transmitting proportional resistance or voltage changes to system controllers in HVAC systems. The sensor responds to heated or cooled airflow by altering its electrical features. It mounts inside ductwork, plenums, or air handler compartments using clips threaded with wired connections to control boards. The component ensures accurate discharge temperature monitoring, prevents overheating or freezing conditions and initiates safety shutdowns during abnormal thermal events.
