Description
The Zilmet ZFT8R-15 Hydronic Expansion Tank is a wall-hung unit with a 2.1-gallon capacity and a 1/2-inch NPT connection, used to absorb volume changes in closed-loop heating systems. It is applied in HVAC systems such as boilers and hydronic circuits, where it accommodates thermal expansion of water during heating cycles. The internal diaphragm separates air and water to allow pressure balance as temperature fluctuates. Positioned along the system piping, it takes in expanded fluid and releases it back as conditions normalize, preventing excess strain within the loop.
