Description
The Trane VAL11998 Expansion Valve 1-1/8″ X 3/8″ is a refrigerant regulator component that controls the flow of refrigerant in the evaporator in the HVAC systems. Its main action is to alleviate pressure and inject refrigerant in accordance with thermal load so that it allows adequate boiling and heat uptake in the cooling circuit. It works on a thermally sensitive sensor system that changes the size of the orifice based on the temperature. It is placed in the refrigerant line between the evaporator and the condenser with the right sealing and alignment.
