Description
The Trane VAL12399 Reversing Valve plays a significant role in the heat pump systems and is responsible for managing the flow of refrigerant. It enables the HVAC-system unit to be in a position to change from heating to cooling mode. In other words, it operates through the movement of a slide within the valve which changes the direction of the hot refrigerant gas. During the cooling operation, the refrigerant circulates to the indoor coil and in the heating operation, it goes to the outdoor coil where it dumps heat. Advantages include the versatility of the system that can both heat and cool the room and improve the energy factor since there is no need for two different systems.
