Description
The Trane SWT2336 Pressure switch is used in air conditioners and heat pumps of Trane HVAC system of products. Functionally, it measures system pressure, usually refrigerant pressure, and sounds an electrical signal when pressure is outside a set range. This action is safety mechanism, which helps to protect the compressor and other parts from high and low pressure. In other words, they serve as a watchdog and make sure that the system runs under certain conditions. Advantages of the switch include the increased level of protection of the system, minimized chances of having to incur expensive repairs, and the general reliability of the HVAC system unit.
