The Trane VAL19600 Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) regulates liquid refrigerant flow into high-capacity 8-ton evaporator coils in HVAC systems. Positioned in the liquid line ahead of the cooling coil, the valve monitors suction line pressure and temperature to modulate its metering orifice in actual duration. Adjusting liquid refrigerant flow maintains precise superheat control, balance refrigerant distribution across large heat exchanger circuits, and supports efficient thermal transfer under heavy commercial cooling loads. Precise fluid modulation prevents thermal starvation in large coils and maintains optimal refrigeration system efficiency.
