Description
The Trane COM12525 3-Ton Scroll Compressor is a refrigerant compression element that is intended to pump refrigerant in the cooling circuit. A scroll compression system involves the use of intermeshing spiral components to press refrigerant vapor, raising its pressure and temperature and directing it to the condenser in HVAC systems. The compressor runs on a 208-230 volt, three-phase power supply, which enables the scroll assembly that is driven by the motor to keep a continuous flow of refrigerant in the system. It is installed in the outdoor condensing unit as the central pumping element that is used to circulate refrigerant when cooling.
