Description
The Trane VAL20694 Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) is a refrigeration component that is used in air conditioning and refrigeration systems. It is valve connection maintains perfect control of the flow of the refrigerant into the evaporator and is made from brass. It depends on the temperature and pressure of the high-pressure liquid refrigerant, that leaves the evaporator. When the evaporator gets hot the TXV opens even more to allow more refrigerant to enter and heat it. On the other hand, when the evaporator is cooling the valve opposes the refrigerant flow through it. This automatic regulation helps to get the better cooling and at the same time prevents the liquid refrigerant from getting into the compressor, which is very dangerous.
