Description
Trane COM11232 Scroll Compressor is a heavy-duty compressor that is capable of delivering large amounts of cooling to commercial and industrial applications but uses R-22 refrigerant. Unlike conventional piston-type compressors, this Trane compressor uses a scroll for its operation. Inside the sealed housing, two scrolls are intermeshing each other and work like a high-pressure pump to compress refrigerant gas. This design equates to a massive 4.8-ton (about 54,000 BTUH) capacity, which is perfect for managing heavy cooling loads despite the lack of extremely hot weather. Brazed stub tubes provide leak-proof circulation of refrigerant and are available in a discharge size of ½”.
